Man Utd handed injury boost for Manchester derby?

Manchester United have been handed an injury boost ahead of the Premier League derby against Manchester City on Sunday.

The Red Devils suffered their 13th defeat of the league campaign on Tuesday night. Nottingham Forest beat them 1-0 on the road.

United will be aiming to return to winning ways tomorrow. Ahead of the game, they have received a much-needed injury boost.

Mainoo has returned from his long injury and could make his comeback to the matchday squad to face the Cityzens at the weekend.

The England international is unlikely to start after his long injury lay-off, but he could make his comeback off the bench if required.

United are presently 13th in the league standings with 37 points. They are expected to miss out on a top-four or top-five finish this term.

However, they still need to win games in order to gain momentum for their Europa League campaign. They are set to face Lyon in the last eight.
